Witnesses say the driver of the vehicle then left the scene, heading west on 51st. One witness followed the vehicle and got him to stop his vehicle about a block away from the scene. Witnesses say they saw the car driving erratically and swerving in the roadway.
Police arrived and arrested the 47-year-old man for suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol and for leaving the scene of an injury accident.
EMSA transported the man riding the motorcycle to the hospital. His injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
