Severe weather and damage has been reported throughout the Tulsa area.
As of 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday night the Oklahoma Highway Patrol is discouraging travel in Sequoyah County in the Muldrow area. Troopers report the area has been hit with heavy hail that is still piled onto the roadways. The city of Muldrow is experiencing wide spread power outages with no working traffic lights that is causing traffic back-ups in and around the city.
Street flooding in south Tulsa prompted the closing of 81st Street eastbound from Elwood Avenue Wednesday night.
At 8:15 p.m. Pittsburg County Emergency Management reported McAlester has heavy flooding and power outages in the area. Some rotation was spotted, but no significant damage.
McIntosh Emergency Management reports heavy damage to the high school roof. A firefighter reports a mobile home and house was destroyed by fire.
Muskogee County Emergency Management reports heavy rainfall, but no damage.
Haskell County Emergency Management reports rotating clouds and golf ball sized hail in the Stigler area.
