Firefighters are kept busy with a couple fires overnight.
The first started shortly after 11 p.m. Monday in the utility room of a home in the 2300 block of West 41st Street in West Tulsa.
Four people were inside the home when the fire started, everyone made it out safely.
One person was treated for smoke inhalation, and sadly, the family pet died in the fire.
The Red Cross is now helping the family.
In Sapulpa, several police officers were injured evacuating an apartment building that went up in flames.
At about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday an officer spotted the fire at the Cherry Hill Apartments in Sapulpa. He and his fellow officers received minor burns helping about 20 people to safety.
Most of the damage was contained to a single, vacant apartment. However, several other units sustained smoke and water damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
