STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ A soft nonconference schedule played entirely at home opened Kansas to questions about how good it really was during an undefeated start.
Now that they've won consecutive road games for the first time since 1995, the Jayhawks (7-0, 3-0 Big 12) are wondering what they'll have to do next to prove themselves.
Kansas climbed three spots to Number 12 in The Associated Press Top 25 Sunday after beating Colorado 19-14 Saturday. Kansas leads Missouri (6-1, 2-1) by one game in the Big 12 North division, while each of the division's other four teams lost.
The Jayhawks and Tigers play November 24 in Kansas City, Missouri, in what's shaping up as the North championship game.
Missouri beat Texas Tech 41-10, while Baylor and Iowa State each scared their contenders before fading away late. Texas beat the Bears 31-10 and Iowa State held Oklahoma scoreless in the first half before losing to the Sooners 17-7.
Meanwhile, Texas A&M (6-2) beat hapless Nebraska 36-14, and Oklahoma State continued to roll, beating Kansas State 41-39 in a hard fought game.
