Fatal Construction Site Accident

Tulsa Police have identified a construction worker who died after an accident at a street construction site in south Tulsa Tuesday. Police say the accident happened in the 6200 block of South Jamestown.

Police say the dump truck operator, 68-year-old Mervil Bledsoe was working on the back of his dump truck, when the backhoe unit backed up, trapping Bledsoe between the dump truck and backhoe. Beldsoe died at the scene.

An investigation into the accident continues.
