Car Theft Suspect Leads Police On Chase
A suspected car thief is in the Tulsa County jail after leading Tulsa Police on a chase overnight.
Police officers say a car was stolen from a home at Pine and Harvard around 11:30 p.m. Thursday. A short time later, police officers spotted a car matching the description of the stolen vehicle. When officers tried to approach, the driver sped off. The driver of the car bailed out at I-44 and the Broken Arrow Expressway and ran away.
Tulsa Police tracked the suspect with their helicopter. Officers say with the help of a canine officer, the man, identified as Kendrick Logan was arrested. Police say Logan was bitten by the police dog and taken to a Tulsa hospital for treatment.
Records show Logan was convicted of second degree burglary in March of 2006. The state says Logan was released from prison in May. Logan is now being held in the Tulsa County jail on a complaint of possession of a stolen vehicle and eluding arrest.
