Raye Dawn Smith is expected to learn her fate on Monday. The sentencing phase of her child abuse trial is on the docket in Bristow.
Smith was convicted of allowing the abuse of her 2-year old daughter, Kelsey Smith Briggs. Kelsey died while in the care of her mother and step-father Michael Porter, who is now serving a 30-year prison sentence for enabling child abuse.
If the jury's recommendation stands, Smith could spend 27 years in prison.
