Woman Killed In I-44 Crash

VINITA, Okla. (AP) _ A Missouri woman is dead after the car she was riding in crashed on Interstate 44 east of Vinita.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Katy Weathers of Webb City, Missouri, died in the accident Thursday afternoon.

OHP troopers say the car Weathers was riding in had a tire blow out and went off the interstate and rolled down an embankment.

A 3-year-old girl and a 4-year-old girl who were in the car and the driver are hospitalized in serious condition while another passenger is in fair condition.

Man Dies In ATV Accident

GROVE, Okla. (AP) _ A Grove man is dead after crashing an all-terrain vehicle into a tree.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Stephen Abell died in the accident on a Delaware County road southeast of Grove.

Troopers say Abell lost control of the ATV and hit a tree then was thrown from the vehicle.
