WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ The Wichita Wranglers sweep a Texas League baseball doubleheader Sunday from the Tulsa Drillers.
Wichita won the first game 11-2 and the second game 8-1. Both games lasted seven innings.
In the opener, the Wranglers recorded 19 hits, with Onil Joseph going 4-4. Damaso Espino and Jeff Nettles each had three RBIs for Wichita. Tulsa managed only five hits.
Things didn't improve much for the Drillers in the second game. Tulsa took a 1-0 lead in the 1st inning, but Wichita scored four runs in the 3rd and four more in the 5th.
Kila Kaaihue went 2-3 with two doubles and five RBIs for the Wranglers.
The losses dropped the Drillers three games behind division-leading Springfield.
