LAKE TEXOMA, Okla. (AP) -- Marina operators at Lake Texoma are beginning to clean up after flooding inundated lakeside camps and resorts and put a big dent in summer profits.
Outbuildings that were submerged by high water are reemerging. The lake was at 634.20 feet elevation on Tuesday, 16 feet above normal. Marina operators say it's been falling about 6 inches a day.
Estimates of income loss and damages are expected to pass $2 million for Oklahoma marinas, including $1 million at Catfish Bay.
At Catfish Bay near Kingston, the cantina opened last weekend. But water still covers a ramp to the boat docks, so boaters are carried by pontoon boats to their slips. Boaters who do not have their vessel in the water have to wait until ramps are again opened.
