Road Closures Due To Flooding

A number of highways across northeast Oklahoma remain closed Tuesday because of flooding. The Oklahoma State Department of Transportation has released an updated road closure list. ODOT officials say motorists are advised to use extreme caution as they drive on Oklahoma highways. Though roads may remain open, motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes if the road appears flooded.

Oklahoma Department of Transportation list of closed roads:

Cherokee County - State Highway 80 - between Hulbert and Ft. Gibson near Wildwood
Recreation Area.

Nowata County - State Highway 28 - 2 miles east of U.S. Highway 169. U.S. Highway 169 is closed 3 miles north of Nowata and State Highway 10 is closed from 1Â½ miles east of Lenapah to 5 miles east at Cedar Creek.

Osage County - State Highway 10 at Coon Creek.

Ottawa County - State Highway 125, 1 mile south of Miami at the county fairgrounds. State Highway 10/Steve Owens Blvd. in Miami. State Highway 10 is closed 1Â½ miles west of Miami and U.S. Highway 69 south of Miami.

Pittsburg County - State Highway 63 from Haileyville west to Bache Road and State Highway 31 between the Indian Nation Turnpike and the State Highway 31/U.S. Highway 270 junction.

Washington County - State Highway 123 between Bartlesville and Dewey.
