A Chelsea teen has died from injuries he received in a crash on Thursday. The highway patrol says two teens were riding ATVs along a stretch of Highway 28 when they collided. A car driven by a 16-year-old hit the two teens. Eighteen-year-old Matthew Goff died that night. Fourteen-year-old Tyler Wright was rushed to the hospital, but died Saturday.
The highway patrol says the driver likely never saw them. It is illegal to drive an ATV on roads, but the highway patrol say it happens often.
"It's horribly dangerous. These things are not equip to be on the road they have the wrong type of tires,†said Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Lt. Jack Choate. “They don't have mirrors. They have improper head lamps."
It's up to the District Attorney to decide whether to file any charges against the driver of the car.
