PAWHUSKA, Okla. (AP) - A Tulsa man accused of posing as a doctor and molesting at least one child faces a preliminary hearing next month. Osage County prosecutors have charged David Menna with three counts of lewd molestation and two counts of practicing medicine without a license.
According to an affidavit filed in the case, witnesses told authorities that Menna had organized a group campout at Osage Hills, during which he examined a naked child for ticks. He was arrested September 21st, about three weeks after the event.
The campout was attended by a Young Marines group and a Boy Scout troop, but spokespersons for both organizations say the campout was not an authorized event.
Menna isn't licensed to practice medicine in Oklahoma.
