An unidentified man was taken into custody Wednesday night followed an alleged armed robbery at an Owasso Shell Station near 76th St. North and Garnett Road. The masked man with his hand in a jacket pocket entered the gas station just before 10 p.m., telling the gas station clerk he was carrying a gun. He then took an undisclosed amount of money from the register and ran off.
The suspect was tracked by K9 officers to an apartment complex located south of the gas station. Police from Owasso, Collinsville, and Tulsa Police departments, the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office, and Oklahoma Highway Patrol surrounded and searched the area.
After receiving a tip, Owasso Police knocked on the door of an apartment unit and saw the suspect sitting inside. The man was reportedly somewhat intoxicated and was identified by witnesses.
