SAND SPRINGS, Okla. (AP) -- A 72-year-old Cleveland, Oklahoma, woman is dead after an accident along U.S. Highway 412 about five miles west of Sand Springs in Osage County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Wilma L. Allred died in a collision that happened about 2:20 p.m. Monday.

OHP troopers say Allred's vehicle was crossing the eastbound lanes of the highway and pulled out in front of a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Jacob E. Hammond of Cleveland. Hammond's vehicle struck Allred's vehicle in front of the driver's side door.

Allred was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither Hammond nor his two passengers suffered any injuries.
