Summer has come to an end for Tulsa teachers. Wednesday was the first day of school for Tulsa Public School educators.

Tulsa school superintendent Doctor David Sawyer welcomed back the staff with a special speech. Sawyer says there are many things to look forward to this school year, especially the financial upturn.

The first day of school for students is Tuesday September 7th.
