An investigation into a suspicious fire at an east Tulsa apartment complex early Wednesday morning.

A security guard spotted the fire around 3 AM in a stairwell of the apartment complex at 100 North Garnett. Crews quickly put out the fire and the damage is minimal. However, authorities believe it was started on purpose.

The fire marshal has been called in to take a look.
