More than 200 Oklahoma communities are getting a lifesaving gift. It comes in the form of automated defibrillators for rural areas.
On Monday, the state health department and the American Heart Association began distributing 207 defibrillators, paid for by a grant from the federal government. The AED program gave out more than 120 of the devices last year.
They're credited for saving the lives of several Oklahomans.
The state ranks third in the nation for deaths from cardiovascular disease.
