Members of Oklahoma's 45th Infantry Brigade are headed home

Members of the Thunderbirds 45th Infantry Brigade are coming home. The historic Oklahoma National Guard unit has been in training and on active duty in Afghanistan for more than 10 months.

About 350 soldiers will be released from duty Saturday morning in Tulsa. The rest are expected to return no later than September 1st. They largely conducted training of the Afghan Army.

No Oklahoma National Guard soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan, and there have been no major injuries.
