This is election day in parts of our area. The biggest item on the ballot comes out of Sapulpa.

That's where voters will elect two city councilors. In addition they'll have to decide whether to renew a half-cent sales tax.

The 10 year tax extension will fund an ongoing street rehabilitation program. City officials say the tax provides 74% of Sapulpa's revenue for street work.

Polls are open until 7 PM.
