Sand Springs Police are looking for an armed bank robber who threw an explosive before getting away.

About 1 PM Wednesday, police say a suspect went into the Local Oklahoma Bank on East Charles Page Boulevard in Sand Springs, gave a teller a note and showed a gun. The suspect got some cash and then threw a small smoke bomb in the bank's lobby, which started a small fire that was quickly put out.

Police say the suspect left in a small silver car. He's described as a white male about 5-feet-8 to 5-feet-10 inches tall, about 250 pounds. He has brown hair and was wearing a black brimmed hat, a plaid shirt and blue jeans.
