Reading your gas meter could soon get simpler. Starting this week, Oklahoma Natural Gas is installing the first of about 30,000 automated meter readers.

The new readers will eliminate the need for a person to physically inspect the dials of each meter.

ONG says Edmond and Oklahoma City will be the first to receive the new readers.
