A Tulsa man has died in a single car accident early this morning.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 23-year-old Humberto L-Pardo ran off Interstate 44 at 1-45 this morning. His car hit a telephone poll and continued off the roadway about 275 feet before hitting a tree.

Pardo was pinned in the vehicle for about 53 minutes. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 19-year-old passenger was also injured, but refused treatment.

O-H-P says both men were wearing their seatbelts.
