Christmas came early Tuesday for some Tulsa school kids. 25 students at Kendall-Whittier Elementary got brand new bicycles from Academy Sports and Outdoors.

The store also gave them helmets to make sure they pedal around town safely. The bikes are not just freebies, the kids had to earn them by not missing a single day of school. Greg Simmons with Academy Sports and Outdoors: "It's just a great thing that helps out the kids that have perfect attendance at their school. It's a win-win situation."

Kendall-Whittier is one of 27 schools getting bikes and helmets from Academy this holiday season.
