The Nashville, Arkansas couple who survived their abduction by Scott Eizember returned home Tuesday.

Dr Sam Peebles says he was forced to drive at gunpoint for 5 hours. Then, he did what he had to do, and grabbed a stashed gun and shot Eizember. "I cocked the pistol and then I got out point blank and just started firing at him. I am a man who was trying his hardest to keep himself and his wife alive."

The Angelina County Texas sheriff says Eizember is refusing extradition until he talks to his lawyer. If Eizember continues to fight, Oklahoma lawmen will issue a Governor's warrant. He could be returned to the state by Monday.

With Eizember now in custody, Dr Peebles will share in the reward money that was offered for Eizember's capture. Dr Peebles will be in Bristow on Saturday where the money will be presented to him for his heroics.

He'll share the reward money with Doyce Petre of Depew. She's the woman who found Eizember in the church.

Petre will be honored at a ceremony in Depew with a check for more than $1,700.
