A sneak peek at Union High School's new multipurpose activity center

It won't open to the public until Monday, but Thursday the News on 6 got a look inside Union High Schoolâ€™s brand new $22-million Multipurpose Activity Center.
It's a 160,000 square foot facility that seats more than 5,600 people. The district paid for it through bonds and corporate sponsorships.
School officials say itâ€™s an investment everyone can benefit from. Gretchen Haas-Bethell, Union Public Schools, "It's going to be so versatile for our community. We're going to use it as a place for our students. We're going to use it as a place for our community. We'll also be able to use it as a facility for concerts, trade shows, conventions."
The facility also has a rock climbing wall and machines for aerobic and strength training.
