It won't open to the public until Monday, but Thursday the News on 6 got a look inside Union High School’s brand new $22-million Multipurpose Activity Center.
It's a 160,000 square foot facility that seats more than 5,600 people. The district paid for it through bonds and corporate sponsorships.
School officials say it’s an investment everyone can benefit from. Gretchen Haas-Bethell, Union Public Schools, "It's going to be so versatile for our community. We're going to use it as a place for our students. We're going to use it as a place for our community. We'll also be able to use it as a facility for concerts, trade shows, conventions."
The facility also has a rock climbing wall and machines for aerobic and strength training.
