(Washington-AP) -- The government says some electric scooters and mini-bikes apparently have a little too much zip.
The Fisher-Price company is recalling tens of thousands of children's scooters and mini-bikes because of faulty control circuits that can keep the machines from turning off.
In one case, a mother says her son's mini-bike took off as it was being charged. Fisher-Price has gotten reports of more than 50 incidents involving the scooters, including injuries to two kids. One broke an arm and the other chipped a tooth.
The voluntary recall affects about 30-thousand Lightning PAC Scooters and some 55-thousand M-X-3 Mini-Bikes.
