OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma Attorney General Drew Edmondson was in California Wednesday for a round-table talk between legal and medical end-of-life experts and Hollywood writers and producers.

"Law and Disorder: Legal Conflicts at End of Life" is sponsored by the Last Acts Writers Project.

As president of the National Association of Attorneys General last year, Edmondson focused on legal issues surrounding end-of-life care.

"Unfortunately, some people take what they see on television or in a movie as how things really work," Edmondson said. "As most of us know, that's not always the case.

"This round-table gives us the opportunity to educate writers and producers about what really happens in these cases. Hopefully, that reality will be reflected in scripts."

Wednesday's discussion was held at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. It was presented in cooperation with the Writers Guild of America, Mediascope, the American Bar Association and the attorneys general group.
