An overnight car chase lands one man in the Tulsa County jail. Tulsa Police have one suspect in custody, but one person remains at large.
Just after midnight, officers spotted a car speeding from the Quik Trip parking lot at 31st and Sheridan, after the driver stole some gas. So they went after the driver. The chase didn't last long though. Tulsa Police Captain GB Poindexter: “the car hit a curb about 27th and Sheridan and crossed center median and hit an off duty police officer, his personal car who was headed home from a meeting with another police officer.â€
The driver and his passenger jumped out of the car and ran off. During the search for them, police say the driver attacked an officer and his dog. He was arrested and treated for a dog bite.
There's been no sign of the passenger. The Jenks Police officer was not hurt in the accident.
