(Washington-AP) -- The sentencing of former state Senator Gene Stipe is being delayed for a fifth time.

Defense attorneys and federal prosecutors have agreed to postpone next Thursday's scheduled sentencing until December second. A motion filed in federal court in Washington, D-C, says another delay is possible because of Stipe's medical condition.

Stipe was hospitalized in McAlester in September after falling and hitting his head. He's since been transferred to an Oklahoma City hospital for treatment of an infection.

Stipe faces possible prison time after pleading guilty to perjury and obstructing a Federal Election Commission investigation in connection with donations to the 1998 congressional campaign of Walt Roberts.
