(Norman-AP) -- Oklahoma basketball coach Kelvin Sampson says sparks will fly at today's meeting of the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
Sampson is president of the N-A-B-C and all of the nation's 327 Division One head coaches are required to attend today's meeting in Chicago.
Sampson wouldn't reveal proposals, but says the meeting will be historic and address recent scandals in college basketball. He says controversial recommendations will be made to hold coaches accountable for their actions.
The scandals include the resignation of Baylor coach Dave Bliss after he was caught trying to hide violations following the shooting death of player Patrick Dennehy. Also, Missouri is under investigation for alleged illegal payments, gifts and academic aid to a player and former Iowa State coach Larry Eustachy resigned after being photographed drinking beer at a party with college students.
