Bob Stoops says the Sooners have their work cut out for them when Number 24 Missouri comes to Norman Saturday.

Missouri is coming off a 41-to-24 win over Nebraska, snapping a 25-game losing streak in that series.

Missouri has quarterback Brad Smith, someone who gave the Sooners' defense fits like no other player last season.

In last year's game, Smith rolled up 391 yards of offense and scored three touchdowns as Missouri nearly pulled off the upset.

The Sooners needed a fake field goal to score the go-ahead touchdown in a 31-to-24 win.

.... Bob Stoops says he's getting tired of being asked if the Sooners are in danger of a letdown after an emotional win over Texas.

The coach has been asked that question several times after Oklahoma's 65-to-13 rout of Texas on Saturday.

Stoops tells people to check the Sooners' record for post-Texas hangovers.

In 1999, the Sooners followed a loss to Texas with a 51-to-6 victory over Texas A-and-M.

The next year, a stunning 63-to-14 win over Texas led to a 41-to-31 defeat of Kansas State on the road.

In 2001, Oklahoma followed up a 14-to-3 win in the Cotton Bowl with a 38-to-10 rout of Kansas on the road.

Then last year, the Sooners beat Texas 35-to-24 and then shut down the ninth-ranked Iowa State Cyclones.

The Sooners play Number 24 Missouri at home this weekend.
