(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Four people are injured after an American Airlines plane dove about a hundred feet near Tulsa to avoid three military jets.

The American plane's collision avoidance system activated when the jet got too close to the three F-15 jets northwest of Tulsa. Three flight attendants and one passenger were injured and one of the flight attendants was hospitalized.

Flight 490 was flying from Oklahoma City to St. Louis when the incident occurred about 2:30 Tuesday afternoon. The flight continued on to St. Louis.

The Federal Aviation Administration says it doesn't know where the F-15's were from or where they were heading, but is investigating the incident.
