(Pauls Valley-AP) -- The Garvin County district attorney says a Davis man accused of opening fire at a crowded party accidentally set his house on fire while apparently trying to destroy evidence.
Tim Kuykendall says Napoleon Lewis III was arrested after two University of Oklahoma football players were shot at a party at a Veterans of Foreign Wars post.
Wide receiver Ataleo Ford and linebacker Wayne Chambers were treated and released from a hospital.
Kuykendall says Garvin County sheriff's deputies went to Lewis' house in Davis and found it on fire.
He says witnesses said they thought Lewis was trying to destroy evidence and caught his house on fire in the process.
Kuykendall is district attorney for District 21, which includes Cleveland, Garvin and McClain counties.
