Former Commercial Financial Services leader Bill Bartmann was in federal court Wednesday.

Bartmann's attorneys told a judge they are being put in an impossible position of trying to prepare for his trial without knowing what witnesses the prosecution intends to call and what documents the government will introduce.

But the prosecution argued it doesn't want to be locked into only those witnesses on the list.

The judge ruled, though, that the prosecution must release its list and any other evidence by July 21st. Bartmann faces a 58-count indictment alleging bank fraud and money laundering.

His trial starts September 8th.
