(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Wednesday is the deadline to register with the Federal Emergency Management Agency for assistance for damage from tornadoes and storms that hit the state from May 8th through May 30th.
State and federal officials say more than $11-million in disaster assistance has been approved for people and businesses affected by the storms.
The state Department of Emergency Management says a total of 3,760 households and businesses registered for assistance.
More than $1-million has been approved for emergency housing and home repairs. More than $838,000 has been approved to cover expenses such as medical or funeral costs or the replacement of personal property.
Also, more than $9-million in low-interest loans has been approved by the US Small Business Administration.
Oklahomans who need to register for FEMA aid may call (800) 621-3362. Lines will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Wednesday.
Oklahomans who want to apply for assistance from the Oklahoma Disaster Fund may call (888) 220-1212 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
