Tulsa child crisis detectives are investigating the drowning of an eight-month-old child, who was in the care of a babysitter.

The child was in the bathtub with a three year old sibling at the babysitter's apartment in the 700 Block of South 101st East Avenue. Tulsa Police say the babysitter stepped out of the room briefly, and when she returned she found the baby had stopped breathing.

The child was pronounced dead at the hospital.
