Some New York City firefighters traveled to Oklahoma to thank some local children for their support after the September 11th terrorist attacks.

A number of students from across the state took part in a campaign to purchase a fire truck to replace one lost in New York during the attack. The truck is appropriately named "Spirit of Oklahoma" and was delivered late last year.

The firefighters are traveling to a number of schools in Oklahoma City.
