Investigators believe a meth lab started a south Tulsa apartment fire. Fire crews were called to the Canyon Creek apartments near 51st and Lewis around 4:30 AM Wednesday.
Officials say the fire started in a lower unit and worked its way to second floor apartments. Two people trapped inside jumped out a window to safety. They weren't hurt. But a balcony fell, burning one firefighter's hand. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Eight apartment units were destroyed. Damage is estimated around $500,000.
