Tulsa's weekend push for a soccer team, is already giving a push to public schools.
Saturday's game between the Dallas Burn and the Kansas City Wizards drew more than 14,000 people. And $15,000 generated by the game was donated to Tulsa County schools.
The city of Tulsa sponsored the game in hopes of bringing a major league soccer franchise to the city. So far there are nearly 5,000 commitments for season tickets if a team locates in Tulsa.
