(Tulsa-AP) -- A Tulsa teenager has died after being hit by a car in Creek County late Tuesday night.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 17-year-old Shamicah Wilson was killed when she was hit by the car on State Highway 97 just after 11:30 Tuesday night.

Troopers say Wilson was apparently trying to cross the highway when she stepped into the path of the car.
