The Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) is set to issue new security standards based on the Orange Alert.
It's not yet clear what changes it will bring to Tulsa International Airport (TIA).
TSA officials say security measures will be based on each individual airport's risk and need.
TIA's Mary Smith has this advice for passengers:
Mary Smith, Tulsa International Airport: "There is a good chance that the airport, many of these travelers coming back to Tulsa will use on their trip back will have differenct security situations happening once they start making their return so I would suggest really good communication with the airline with airport authority websites."
Smith says passengers still need a government issued I.D., appropriate travel documents, and should pack carefully avoiding restricted items.
