National Child Passenger Safety Awareness Week is coming to a close and local police agencies hope they're getting their message across.

Bob Ricks with the Oklahoma Highway Safety Commission, “The most significant thing a motorist can do to protect him or herself and her family is to buckle up."

Traffic accident victim, Angelia Griffin, "Not a scratch on him. No injuries because the car seat did it's job and saved his life."

To wrap up the week, the Tulsa Area Safe Kids Coalition handed out their annual Buckle down Awards Thursday. The awards are given to officers who have done outstanding work in DUI, traffic and seatbelt enforcement.
