(Tulsa-AP) -- Former University of Tulsa All-American football player Glenn Dobbs has died at his home in Tulsa.

Dobbs was 82.

Dobbs was an All-American in 1942 as a tailback for Tulsa and helped the Golden Hurricane to a 25-and-6 record from 1940 through 1942.

He later coached at TU.

Dobbs was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1980 and the Tulsa Athletic Hall of Fame in 1982.
