(Oklahoma City-AP) -- State lawmakers say the election of Democrat Brad Henry as governor will mean changes at the state Capitol.

House Speaker Larry Adair says Henry's election will change the way the Legislature deals with issues from budget cuts to tax reform. Adair also expects Henry will veto fewer vetoes than Republican Governor Frank Keating.

Senator Cal Hobson says the election of a Democratic governor and a Democratic majority in the Legislature means there is no excuse for not cooperating.

Henry will replace Keating in January.
