(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Southwestern Bell Oklahoma wants to drop two unlimited long distance calling plans and replace it with a more limited plan.
Bell spokesman Marty Richter says the company wants to stop offering Local Plus and One Plus Saver Direct.
Richter says some customers are using the plans to dial up to long distance Internet connections and stay connected for days at a time.
Local Plus expands local calling plans for customers in isolated areas. One Plus Saver Direct allows unlimited calls to one telephone number for a flat fee.
Richter says the phone company will offer calling plans with limited minutes.
He says the change will affect only customers who use the plans for Internet use.
Southwestern Bell is asking the state Corporation Commission to allow it to discontinue the plans by October 15th.
