The pilot of a towboat that hit the I-40 bridge in May, has given up his pilot's license.
William Dedmon turned over to the Coast Guard. His attorney says Dedmon's on leave and hopes to get his license back someday. He also has to pass a physical.
Dedmond told authorities he blacked out before the collision. He's been diagnosed with a heart problem and is being treated for it.
