(Austin-AP) -- Gerrit Simpson notched his third career complete game as Texas beat Oklahoma 11-to-4.
The Longhorns opened a 3-to-0 lead in the bottom of the first on R-B-I singles from Ben King and Sam Anderson and a Sooner error.
Oklahoma responded with an unearned run in the third to cut the Texas lead to 3-to-1. Then, the Longhorns used a leadoff triple from Ryan Brooks, four doubles and a pair of singles to open up an 8-to-1 bulge.
Simpson (3-2) allowed only three earned runs on eight hits while striking out five over his nine innings of work.
O-U starter Evan Greusel (1-3) was tagged with the loss.
