NEW YORK (AP) â€” British-born Sting is scheduled to perform at the Super Bowl in Tampa, Fla.

``I know how important the Super Bowl is to you, but I'm a soccer fan,'' Sting says in the Jan. 29 issue of People magazine, now on newsstands. He plans to play ``Desert Rose'' and ``Roxanne'' during the pre-game show.

``It's a surreal gig,'' he says. ``It's like playing this huge frat party.''
