(State College, Pennsylvania-AP) -- The top-ranked Oklahoma State wrestling team has suffered its first loss of the season.
The Cowboys were beaten by Minnesota 20-to-12 yesterday in the finals of the National Wrestling Duals at Penn State. The second-ranked Golden Gophers avenged their only loss of the season with the win.
Both teams are now 11-and-1 on the year.
Sixth-ranked Oklahoma finished the tournament in sixth place after "losing" a tie with Michigan.
O-U and Michigan tied at 19, but the Wolverines were awarded fifth place on the ninth criteria point.
Oklahoma's Michael Barger did claim what may be the biggest upset of the college wrestling season.
The 10th-ranked Barger pinned top-ranked Otto Olson in one-fifty-two.
